The Simmons Village North Community Development District (CDD) is a local, special purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, established July 20, 2021 and created by Ordinance No. 21-26 by the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County, Florida as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities. The boundaries of the District were amended by Ordinance No. 22-27 on September 14, 2022.
The Simmons Village North CDD is located entirely within the boundaries of Hillsborough County, Florida, comprised of a parcel or parcels of land containing approximately 198.752 acres more or less, generally located between Interstate 75 and U.S. Highway 301 and south of Big Bend Road and north of 19th Avenue NE in Riverview, Hillsborough County, Florida.
The exclusive charter for the District shall be the uniform community development district charter (Uniform Charter) as set forth in Florida Statutes 190. The Uniform Charter grants certain general and special powers.
